Bahr El Eid is one of the oldest public playgrounds in the historic district. It gets its name from its beaches that used to extend to the bahr (sea). It functions as a gathering and celebratory space for families and kids, symbolizing simplicity and playfulness. Today, Bahr El Eid is upgraded by Saida’s Observatory for Social Impact and UN-Habitat to a public playground with rides during eid and a venue for various celebrations all year round.
