It is attributed to Imam Muhammad ibn Hanafiyyah, the son of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (may Allaah be pleased with him).
This mosque was originally a “sufizm zawiye” for the followers of the Ubaidi method, and in this zawiye were the five prayers in islam. The mosque does not contain a pulpit.
It is topped by a small beautiful minaret.
