St. Nicholas Church

by gdeveloper

It was called the “Cathedral of Sidon Church” whose date of construction is unknown. But it is thought to have been built on the ruins of an older church, or built on the ruins of a pagan temple. It was converted into a bishopric in the early 4th century AD, and in 1850 it was divided into two churches separated by a wall, one of which was Greek Orthodox and the other Roman Catholic, and became full of Greek Orthodox today.
